Art Clay Silver 650 Slow Dry
Consists of:
92% silver powder, 8% non-toxic organic binder and water. The harmless binding agent is made from pulp fibre and a moisturising agent. It has been developed to fire at 650°C/1200°F (ie temperature of a gas hob). During firing the silver particles solidify, the binder and moisturiser burn off and the water evaporates; this causes the pendant to shrink by 8-9%. After firing the resulting pendant is 99.9% Pure Silver, which can be hallmarked. (This can be compared to Sterling Silver which is only 92.5% pure and mixed with other metals. Sterling Silver also tarnishes more quickly than Pure Silver).
Keyring
This is a contemporary Sterling Silver carabina keyring and Sterling Silver Rolo belcher chain. Dimensions 32mm long and approximately 48mm wide (excluding chain).
Polishing Cloth
This Silver Polishing Cloth is made of high quality cotton impregnated with a silver cleaner and anti-tarnish agent. The cloth remains effective as long as it is not washed. The dimensions are 6.5cmx6.5cm.
Badger's Balm
Badger’s balm performs a dual purpose; it stops the clay sticking to the rolling pin and traps the moisture in the clay. The ingredients are: Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Natural Beeswax, Castor Oil, Organic Aloe Vera Extract, and Essential Oil of Sweet Birch.
Sterling Silver Jump Ring
These sturdy jump rings performed the best in trials; they were able to withstand more wear and tear so the pendants were less likely to be lost. The jump rings have a 7mm diameter with 1.5mm wire diameter.
Leather Cord
This leather cord is 60cm long with 2mm diameter to be tied to make a necklace or two bracelets for your pendants.
